ORGANIZATION OF ORISSA STATE LIBRARY

      From the organization point of view, the Library is divided into three

      Divisions, namely Administrative Services Division(ASD), Technical 

      Services Division(TSD),and Reader's Services Division(RSD)

 

 

 

RSD renders service to readers for 12 hours a day i.e. from 8A.M to        8P.M.

 Under this Division, two libraries are functioning, namely

       

            1>  State Library(SL) meant for Reference and Research purpose .

 

            2> Bhubaneswar Public     Library(BPL) for general readers.

     

 

 

The present collection of books on 22nd September, 2004 is 1, 36,601.Some

 important collection and their number are:

Besides two recent passport size photographs attested at the back, photocopy of H.S.C certificate and last qualification certificate and introduction from the Head of the Organization/Institute or any known Gazetted Officer are for enrollment as member
